Summary: Great organizers that really care about the athletes
Comments: This race is put on by athletes and is truly a wonderful experience. It by far exceeded my expectations for being an independent race. They also are very liberal about cut off times allowing people to continue after the traditional midnight cutoffs.

Summary: A great place for you first full
Comments: this race is so much fun. the course is flat and fast just what you would think for oklahoma. the aid stations are awesome and very spirited and lot of them on bike and run. this race really cares the athlete not about the money. if you want a great time with great people go here. they also offer a 1/2 iron distance on the same course that is just as awesome

Summary: Great race with top notch organizers and volunteers!!
Comments: Sep 19, 2009. Organizers faced enormous weather challenges and successfully got the race off thanks to amazing volunteers that swept 5 inches of standing water off the bike course (mandatory dismount due to flooding on 1st lap of the bike only...rain stopped midway through 2nd lap of bike). Great swim course. Nice running trail for run course, which is easy for spectators to access. AWESOME aid stations and tremendous volunteers, who organized callers to ask the athletes what they needed so they could shout it in to the aid station and it was ready for the athletes and any special instructions (ice, ice/water, water, gatorade, with or with out lid, sponge, food, etc...). Tons of real and smart encouragement from all the volunteers. I'd recommend this race to all.
