Summary: Great race, great location
Comments: This was my first 140.6 and I loved it. The course was challenging and beautiful. The volunteers were awesome, I was never without anything I needed!! I'd highly recommend this race for the calm swim, beautiful (although hilly) ride and almost flat run.

Summary: Top notch race
Comments: Race is well organized and supported. Has the feel of a home-town 10K race in terms of crowds and atmosphere. If you're looking for an Ali'i Drive experience, this isn't it. But that's ok! The course is great and the room to ride without encountering the huge draft packs is a welcome relief from the M-Dot events. Russian River swim is narrow and shallow, with little current. You can stand up in places if you want to. Bike course is rolling through vineyards with a couple of decent hills and some twisty turns. A fun ride. The run course is also rolling, through scenic vineyards. Aid aid stations are well-stocked and volunteers are plenty. If the race itself is what you are interested in and don't need the hoopla around the M-Dot events, Vineman is one to check out. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Summary: Good solid race
Comments: My biggest gripe is that the end is in a different location than T2. Also, most of the road course (all?) isn't closed off to traffic. The ride is quite beautiful, with just enough elevation to keep things fun, but not enough to kill you. Run course is fast and mostly flat and there's plenty of aid stations and spectators.
